My top was a hand me down from a friend's thrift store finds, the skirt I paid a dollar for at JetRag in LA (its a great black velvet w/ pockets!), and I showed two ways to put together some very different items with different textiles!

Easy going.

High-Low.

Found this great high-low tee from Buffalo Exchange for a great deal! The great part is the entire back is sheer so when you remove your sweater/jacket you reveal a whole new look!

Class in Session

At work with my co-worker Bobby. We both appreciate orignality, colors, and style in various forms. This day I had borrowed his burgandy skinny tie and combined it with high waisted black denim shorts and a button down and he turned a casual grey cardigan into a cool look with his glasses and beanie.
Always lovin it Bobby. :)

My Valentines Week.

During the day outfits, tights have hearts on them:)
 date night with my guy.
Almost 3 years with my finance in April and this was the first time we spent Vday with eachother, every other year we were apart.
Spread love.

Taking Flight

This collage/poster was for a class I'm taking at LIM. we were asked to gather pics/words/whatever that describe ourselves, our goals, our interests. Mine is clear, fashion, art, blogging ,shoes, buttons, words, all things BECKA GROSS :)

The front of the card reads "Write your own story" Inside it reads "I'm taking flight in the world of fashion and art and taking chances"

Brooklyn-my first home in NYC, and so right for me. The homemade crosswords has the words Becka, bold, crazy, solo(independent), red(hair), ready(not afraid), happy, and his (newly engaged).

Bow-Licious

Sash Belt turned into headscarf, classic plaid flannel scarf, cherry bomb lipstick, and my aging peacoat. Located across the street from my apt.

Awaiting the train.

H&M zipped cursive font sweater, old Old Navy camel peacoat found at a yard sale for 10$
SM Troopa, and blue polka dotted tights
My D&B bag with an added "hey"chain I found in a thrift store in Seattle forever ago.

Catching Up.

I've had pictures, I've had looks, but yet I've failed to post... despite the delay fashion is still honest and true. From my closet to your computer screen.
Jeffrey Campbell- I'm tore- I love the colors, the wingtip, the height but should I or shouldn't I? Great deal at a NY discount/trendy shop.

Just a walk in the park.

Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
This city inspires me everyday. I dressed pretty casual today as I trucked to school , just felt like simply a t-shirt and jeans type of day. These pictured here are SM fringe, moccasin booties. Style comes in all forms, arrives at many versions of occasions, and effects in countless ways.
Take a walk and breathe some fresh air, it's worth it.

I LOVE NYC.

It was a long but beautiful day in NYC. Everyday a new street, a new path, a new journey, a new newspaper, a new day.

Radiating Heat.

Old Navy Funnelneck Sweater, Vintage Printed Scarf, SM Troopa Boots

...In my apt, just got home from work, keeping cozy, keeping busy.

Saturday School

Sweater over flannel. A modern take on the classic schoolgirl.

P.S. It is hard to see in the photo I used a shoelace to tie a bow around my collar, accessorizing my simple look.

Warming up for the worst.

Dooney and Burke Classic Bag, a Combo of Skinnies, Jacket, SM black ankle booties, and gloves and beanie for warmth, and unique Red/Black Checkered Scarf with Crochet Detail.

Tomorrow it's soppoussed to snow.
Imagine this look with a bit more bundle, preperation, and layers.

Drapey, Floral, Loose, Comfortable, Easy:)

Floral Kimono Top from H$M, SM Burgandy Velvet Flats, and a Smile.

Sometimes an easy sweater, wrap, or print can bring both comfort and style to any look, especially on days being told your look is "effortless but chic" are just the words you want to hear.

I'll send you flowers on Sunday.

Esprit One Size Fits All Cardi, H&M floral leggings, SM Over the Knee Boots, and a Classic button down.

Sundays are a day to make comfy cute, don't sacrifice your style on Sundays. Sundays still have an agenda to be accounted for but for most always feels like it should be a day off, but if you aren't lucky enough to lounge around eating a late, large brunch, do it right.

I wear my boyfriend.

Last year H&M orange sweater, Walt's old jeans, Walt's Army Inspired jacket...

My guy.

His signature yellow beanie (helps to spot him in crowds), new cable knit cardigan I snagged for him from JCPenny's for less than 20$, and burnt orange jeans that I only spend 10$ on. Lookin good on a dime.

Dressed up paperbag.

High-Waisted Paperbag pants bought from a friend's boutique in LA ( I only paid 10$), burgandy booties (SM), and UO sweetheard bustier w/ cutouts on the back. Dressing up a laid back style a bit.
